Ink drawing: snowy canal houses with a red lantern on a branch

When the wind sweeps across the canals and it is dark by half past four, everyone looks for a bit of warmth. A cup of tea helps, so does a thick jumper. But nothing warms you up quite like an hour on a warm table, with calm hands and warm oil.

Why winter is the perfect time for a massage

In winter we often pull our shoulders up against the cold without noticing. After a few weeks you feel it in your neck and upper back. We also spend more time indoors and move less. A relaxation massage releases that tension and gives you an hour where you do not have to do anything at all.

How to get the most out of it

  • Take your time. Choose 75 or 90 minutes if you really want to unwind. Your body often needs the first fifteen minutes just to settle.
  • Tell us where it is. Stiff shoulders from screen work? We always ask first and adjust the massage to it.
  • Plan nothing afterwards. Walk home slowly along the water, or have one more warm tea. The feeling stays with you longer.
  • Come together. A duo massage is a lovely way to spend a cold Sunday together.

A warm spot in the city

Our salons are a short walk from Dam Square and in Amsterdam West. After a wintry walk through the Jordaan or an afternoon shopping in the Nine Streets, you are at Singel 240 in no time. In West you will find us at Bilderdijkstraat 195H.
