How it works
You keep your clothes on
No changing, no oil, no towel. You sit down fully dressed and can come straight from work. For many people that is exactly why they choose this over a massage on the table.
You lean forward, not lie flat
The massage chair supports your head, chest and arms. That lets your neck release completely while the therapist can still reach it. On an ordinary chair that does not work, because your head still has to carry itself.
Neck, shoulders, back and arms
Precisely the area that seizes up with desk work. We work down from the neck across the shoulder blades and back, and include the upper arms, because tension there usually runs on from the shoulders.
Twenty minutes already registers
You do not need to clear an hour. A short treatment during a break already creates room in the shoulders. With thirty or forty-five minutes the back gets properly included as well.
Thumb pressure through the fabric
Our therapists work from the Chinese tradition: kneading and pressing on fixed points. That works well through a layer of clothing, where stroking techniques would require oil on bare skin.
Straight on with your day
No oil on your skin and no drowsy feeling. Most people head straight back to work or their next appointment. That makes it one of the few treatments you can slot into the middle of a day.
Good to know
Which duration suits me?
Twenty minutes goes to neck and shoulders. Thirty minutes leaves room to include the back. Forty-five minutes is the full treatment, arms included, with a calmer build-up per area.
How far ahead should I book?
Send a message on WhatsApp with the day and time you have in mind and you will hear straight away whether there is space. Short treatments are more often available at short notice than a full body massage.
When not to book
Not advisable with fever, inflammation or a fresh injury in the neck or shoulder. If you have a hernia or a condition affecting your cervical vertebrae, check with your doctor first and tell us on arrival so we can adjust the pressure.
Frequently asked
Can I come with colleagues?
Yes. Let us know how many of you are coming and we will schedule you one after another. For larger groups you can enter up to sixteen guests in the booking screen and we will see what fits.
Is oil used?
No. A chair massage is done through your clothing. If you would rather be treated with oil, a Chinese massage or a relaxation massage on the table is the better choice.
How does it differ from a normal massage?
Three things: your clothes stay on, you sit instead of lying down, and it covers the upper body only. For legs, hips or a full treatment you would choose a massage on the table.
