For tension a regular massage does not shift. Deep into the muscle layers, built up slowly, and always in consultation about how much pressure you can take. From 37 euros.

How it works
Deeper than relaxation
In a relaxation massage the therapist stays in the upper muscle layers. Deep tissue goes through to the layer beneath, where the stubborn knots sit that keep coming back.
Slow, not hard
Working deep is not the same as pushing hard. The therapist works slowly, waits until the muscle gives way and only then goes further. Forcing makes a muscle tighten instead.
You set the limit
Firm may feel uncomfortable, but never so much that you tense up. If you tense, the massage stops working. Say so and the therapist adjusts the pressure.
A little sore afterwards
The next day you may feel like you have been to the gym. That is normal and settles within two days. Drink some extra water that day and skip heavy training.
From the Chinese tradition
Our therapists work from Tui Na. Alongside deep pressure that means pinching and stretching along the meridians, which makes it feel different from a Western deep tissue massage.
Mostly for desk work
Neck, shoulders and lower back after a day at a screen. That is what we see most often, and where deep tissue makes the biggest difference.
Good to know
How long should I book?
Thirty minutes is enough for one area, for example neck and shoulders only. If you want back, neck and legs, book sixty. In half an hour the therapist has no time to build up calmly across the whole body.
How often?
For a complaint that has been there a while, two or three treatments within a few weeks help more than one single session. For maintenance, once a month is enough.
When not to book
Not with a fever, an inflammation, a fresh injury or thrombosis. Also not during pregnancy and not if you take blood thinners. If a condition or medication makes you unsure, talk to your doctor first.
